About KC-ADRC

Kern County Aging and Disability Resource Connection

As more people search for Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) to find aging and disability-related resources, the State of California Department of Aging has organized local agencies across California into Aging and Disability Resource Connections (ADRCs). ADRCs are coordinated networks that work to improve service delivery and help older adults, people with disabilities and caregivers navigate the complex LTSS system.

The Kern County Aging and Disability Resource Connection (KC-ADRC) is a partnership of Kern County Aging and Adult Services and the Independent Living Center of Kern County (ILCKC) to help Kern County residents find aging- and disability-related resources to help improve their lives.

KC-ADRC was recognized as a “Designated ADRC” by the State of California Department of Aging in December 2021.

No Wrong Doors

KC-ADRC is intended to act as a “No Wrong Door” system, transforming the way people access Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) in Kern County.

Our vision is that KC-ADRC serves as a hub, so that by connecting with any one of our provider organizations, aging and disabled consumers, and their caregivers are able to connect with a wide array of LTSS providers across Kern County.

Who does KC-ADRC serve?

KC-ADRC serves anyone in Kern County who is aging or disabled, or their families or caregivers. Anyone who is searching for help navigating the complex Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) system is invited to use the resources of KC-ADRC.
